Custom Floral Designs Inspired by Toronto’s Evening Glow

The 21st biennial meeting of the International College of Prosthodontists brought global experts, practitioners, and researchers together in Toronto for four days of learning,
collaboration, and celebration.
Our team was invited to design floral arrangements to enhance the atmosphere of this international event—an opportunity to bring warmth, vibrancy, and elegance to a space filled with conversation, innovation, and ideas.

The conference’s main visual showcased the Toronto skyline under a glowing sunset, where rich shades of orange melted into pink and lavender clouds, fading into the cool blues of evening.
While the client did not request a specific color palette, we saw an opportunity to connect the visual identity of the event with the floral design. Inspired by the evening sky over Lake Ontario, we curated a palette of sunset hues—soft blues, blush pinks, golden oranges, and delicate lavender tones—creating arrangements that felt like a natural extension of the conference’s theme and imagery.

Each arrangement was thoughtfully placed throughout the venue: welcoming guests at the entrance, bringing life to registration and networking areas, and adding warmth to stages and presentation spaces. We chose seasonal blooms that offered texture and movement, layering colors to capture the shifting tones of a sunset. The result was an atmosphere that felt both professional and inviting—a perfect balance for an event that celebrated learning and connection.

Attendees and organizers alike commented on how seamlessly the florals blended with the overall event design. The colors reflected the Toronto skyline at dusk, adding depth and beauty without overwhelming the space. Our goal was not only to decorate, but to tell a story: one of a city coming alive at sunset, mirroring the energy and creativity of the conference itself.

In the end, the organizers were thrilled with the result, noting how the florals elevated the entire experience for their guests. For us, it was a rewarding project—an opportunity to combine artistry, event design, and a sense of place into one cohesive visual moment.
